twice a month is often enough, you should be using condoms and if you want more protection you need a hormonal birth control. to answer your question there is no such thing as a temp. pill, but like I said twice a month is often enough to start something.

there is no temp pill.. and you should not take any type of contraceptive pill on and off it could make you infertile. the best thing to do is if you dont want to take a pill consult your doctor about a UDI or a monthly shot.

female condoms are also an option.
reguardless if your having sex once a month or once a year if you dont wanna become pregnat dont have unsafe sex. or just dont have sex since you rarely do it, dont bother.
you sound young first off, maybe you gettinng scared of being pregnat is what should be teling you to stop having sex without a condom or on brth control.

The best method is to use a condom since it protects you twice. 1 from getting pregnant and 2. from getting infected by any sexually transmitted infection. You will still enjoy it though and these days people don't only think of pregnancy but more about being infected with HIV. Take very good care of yourself you live once.

For the pill to be effective it must be taken daily. If you only want contraception for each sexual encounter you should consider barrier methods like condoms or diapragms. There are lots of alternatives to oral contraception.

There's Plan B, but it's hard on your body and it makes no sense to use emergency contraceptive for sex you know you're going to have...

You're better off with a low-dose pill like YAZ.

No there isn't, you have to either use the pill continuously or use another form of contraceptive.
