Actually 60 minutes had done a story about the roll of adrenaline and memory retainment. Seems obvious but apparently when adrenaline is shot through the system, the brain is able to store information in a more concentrated manner. PT SD, is an example of this. in this case the inability to process or set aside a traumatic event can cause a type of schizophrenia, which will cause more adrenaline to be released, causing that memory to become even more powerfull. The solution is a chemical compound that is injected into a person that just experienced a traumatic event, will weaken the adrenaline system, thus making easier for the brain to ignore that event. Potheads figured this out a long time ago.
and yes I agree that we learn until the end of life, even if some won't admit it.

If a person realizes that they don't know everything and are open to new ideas we do but if they think that they know all that they need to know than they won't be open to new ideas and new experiences. My father used to ask us what new thing had we learned and what new word had we learned. I think because of this we were looking to learn new things so that we would have something to tell him each evening and we always made sure that we learned at least one new word even if it was something relating to school. The children in my family have extensive vocabularies and we tend to go into professions where you learn new things every day. Professions like parenting and psychology.

It is true that each of us continues to process information and make choices until the end of life, yes.
Sometimes people get trapped in a rut, and when this happens they stop learning new things and only use the information they've already accrued in life to help them make decisions. In this instance, it's not that someone is incapable of learning, they've just forgotten that they can, and need a gentle wake-up call - pref a LOUD BANG!!

Of course. Otherwise we would all never have to learn. we woulden't be able to live such a nice life. I mean if we didn't learn we woulden't have any new experiences. Such as meeting new people, learning different cultures, speaking with different people. All these things are different and where there's even the smallest difference, we can learn. We learn from anything and everything. Even if you're watching T.V, your learning about what's happening on the show. Etc, etc.

The act of learning and the act of breathing do tend to cease at precisely the same time.

could not agree more, the only constant thing in life is change, the more we learn the more things change and our way of handling it changes too
