since the days of Cortez and the inquisition I wonder who has been responsible for more deaths the Muslims or Catholics and why?

They were both involved in the most violent bit of each of their histories: The Crusades.
In terms of pure bodycount, probably the Catholics, as their influence has ranged over a larger area, while Islam is still concentrated in the middle east and north Africa.

Since Islam was not around before the birth of Muhamad in 570, then I would have to say that Christians were more violent historicaly. They had way more time to be.

Well I immeaditly thought catholics, cause they make you penances and used to hve priest whip themselves, but muslims have suicide bombers..so Muslim!

both have in there own ways..musilms with there wars agaist europe and catholics with there wars agaist other places
