Preferably preparations are made before death. Your ashes can be laid to rest at sea. Not a body. Until a person is of age they should tell their family what their wishes are. As an adult you can have a lawyer discuss all the options available to you. Advance directives, etc. The family plays a critical role in assuring that your desires are carried out.

i guess you really love the waters huh? well, sad news, your body can't buried at sea, only your ashes. About choosing who to attend your funeral, you could try telling your next of kin. Rest in peace, should you be dying!

Yes. And usually you just have it written in your will that you want to be either cremated and have the ashes in the water or actually buried. But I've never heard of anybody actually being ''buried''.

Ashes can be scattered but the body is not allowed to be buried at sea, unless it is an accidental death, while at sea.

It would seem to me that it would not be allowed because the tide might wash your body up on shore somewhere and someone would find it call the police and then the search would be on for a murderer.
