They are not inexpensive. But I would recommend Maytag,
in 39 years we have had only three sets of Maytag washer/dryers. The last set was new last year. So two sets lasted 38 years. No repairs.
Look at scratch and dent for bargains.
If you mean in one unit, look at Recreational vehicle stores.
Many motor homes have the single unit combo washer dryers. I will say in general that they take forever to do a small load.

My parents bought a Maytag washer / dryer combo and they love it. I use it when I go home to visit and it's amazing how much stuff you can wash in theirs at one time!! It looks small but I can do a heavy duty wash load in it just fine!! It's so quiet too.

Dont bother with combo's if either of them break down you are stuffed for the other.
Invest in seperates if you can afford to, If one is not repairable or cheaper to buy new one, then your stuffed for the other, thus you will have to get two machines anyway.
Please try to have both machines on the floor i know from expereience that dryers don't always like the excessive shaking from washers and can make some parts inside loosen up.
In general you shouldn't have problems with dryers its just turning round and heating up. Go for one that have a cool cycle too; usually a press button and make sure it goes round BOTH directions it helps with clothes or bedding not to get rolled up inside as much.
With all this in mind you may get away with buying a cheap dryer.
DON'T buy british, buy german they last longer such as bosch, they dont always look nice but they last loooooooooonger.

would not buy one. Had one and when it goes wrong, you have NO machine at all. best get two and not keep 'all your eggs in one basket', as it were.
