Actually, sometimes it looks like talking in the streets, in the crowd : everybody can talk to anybody, and everybody can answer...So , as in real life, it depends on the personnality of the person you are talking to...
When you meet some kind,friendly and clever persons, Yahoo Answers is super interesting...
But when you meet some idiot,uneducated and impolite persons, Yahoo Answers is really boring...
Yahoo wants to touch everybody everywhere because they need to sell their advertisments on the site...That's why we meet so many buffons too...
Don't worry...That's life...

depends on why are you entering Y!Answers
1) if you are here to ask for information - it can be very useful
2) if you are looking for a quick answer for something you need right now - it is perfect
or
3) if you want to compete for points and become "I know all" in no time by using different sites to copy the answers from -
it is a great way of busting someone's ego
or
4) if you want to be "the first in something" - it is the quickest medication: using many accounts and names -you can earn points in no time. now you can even block users that do not agree with your answers and have only selected people answering your questions. and if you do not like someone's answer you can report it as violation ( there is always a way to do it) and you can feel "the winner"
or
5) you can make comments if you want and have people answer to them. and just before the time is out, you can remove your comments and have the answerer look bad for his/hers only comments......and you can again feel "the winner"
or
6) you can use your q/a for propaganda, but only if "the winner" agrees with you
so, there are many different reasons why so many people use this site.
it is boring if you have to read irrelevant answers or bad language or dirty personal vendettas
and there will always be "the crying winner" either you agree with them or ignore them: they need their medication on time !
and if not any fresh, they will dig back to find and old one and "feel winners" again

It seems to me that the rules on here are sensitive or biast to certain groups. PC dominates. You don't have to be rude ,ignorant, racist,of idiotic to receive a violation notice or the displeasure from another member, there are a lot of people on here that are wound up screaming and whinging hiding behind there computers. I like to read the ranters they make me laugh, I recently found the rants from the Armenian's against the Turks to be amusing.
I add the odd "tongue in cheek" comment nothing nasty ,just to flair them up .
the Scots make me laugh . I have had a few comments removed my them. Again nothing rascist or nasty. just objectional.
So yes its mostly boring . but sometimes its better than watching TV.

Na, I don't think so. There is always going to be stupid questions on here and then the serious ones, which I enjoy the challenge from. But, that's my opinion. I hope something comes along for you to liven up your life. Take care! <><

somewhat...it is safer though. I remember in the good ol days, I read a solicittion for murder on here. The poster gave a money offer and an address. Yikes.
