Baaark is right the morning after pill will start it, probably within two days. (unless you are pregnant). Aborting the zygote is not the words I would use. It thins your uterine lining so an egg cannot attach, or causes you not to ovulate at all.

I have heard of an injection on here that has periods come within a certain amount of time, can't think of the name. I don't think it happens instantly though, I believe its over a period of ten days.
Talk to your doctor about it.

No. A period is simply the body's way of ridding itself of an egg that has not been fertilized. The ovulation process takes about 28 days alone. The egg, along with the endometrium lining (in preparation of providing nourishment to the egg, granted that it should be fertilized) will compose what is your period. Nothing can immediately just cause a period to happen on cue.

The Plan B pill works like this. Its not instant, but pretty darn close.
You take one pill immediately and one pill 12 hours later, and it will cause you to have a period. This is how it aborts the possible zygote.
