Being popular is one thing ,It really depends on what you mean as friends, True friends are people you can trust 100% and will never stab you in the back! and true friends take you as you are and never expect anything but trust and honesty.

Friends are great to have and I am sure you are a great friend! However if there are expectations and conditions that go with their friendships, then you might want to re-consider who are your true friends! A true friend will be there without you saying a word, a true friend will laugh with you, cry with you,& keep all your secrets. I think you get the picture. The way I see it is, "You're quite the little social bug" (and that is said with a smile) and there is nothing wrong with that! Just remember if the little social bug goes down from doing everything that everyone wants that social bug to do, who will be the popular, little social bug then? Socializing is suppose to be fun. Just never forget where you came from and who had your back before you became who u are today!

It isn't so much that you start dumping friends; it's more that you put boundaries on friendships and learn to say "no." Then you will find out who your real friends are.
You might also be a likeable person who people find appealing and easy to talk to. They might consider you a close friend when you only think of them as casual friends or acquaintances. Differentiate between close friends, casual friends, and acquaintances -- you will have a lot easier time of it in life.
And there's nothing wrong with having a bunch of casual friends by the way.
And remember too that friendship is more than helping someone; it's also liking them and enjoying their company and vice versa. Helping someone does not necessarily make them your friend.
Good luck.

No. you don't choose your friend but real friends are the ones who understands you the most and does not ask too much from you. You can be polite to everyone and be friendly with anyone but friendship is a commitment you may not be able to give everyone.

no but there is such a thing as no friends.
the older you get the more you come to realise that somepeople, the ones you thought the best of the best of, is not truly your friends. adopt the attitude that you are aquinted to most and have only one or two true friends, treat the rest you ould have yourself treated

Firstly make sure you help yourself before you help others, as you are no good to anyone if you are wore out by helping others!!
REAL Friends are people who know you... they know your likes dislikes, home life, mothers/siblings name etc.... thses are the important people....
Think you might be mistaking a friend for an Aquantince....
If i'm wrong and these people all know you well, then i think it's time to start spending time together as a group...

You can be a friend of everyone but the thing is you can't please all of them. You can be most happy if just be your self, be there when you can and don't be so hard on your self if you cant, besides if they are true friends they appreciate anything with out over doing it.

Having too many friends can turn into a bad thing, when you feel the need to please everybody. I suggest you pick out the "real" friends among them, and let those go, who are just along for the ride
