In my experience, rich people are no more "looked up to" or respected than anyone else. Your inferiority complex is showing again.

Well, it depends. Having money or a big house doesn't automatically make anyone a better person, but what it CAN mean is that they have worked hard to gain a good education, followed by a job with a good salary and are decent people who have worked hard for what they have. Some people, of course, get it handed to them on a plate through inheritance or whatever, but the majority of people who have something have it because they have worked hard for it and in this respect, I would say they are "better" than someone who has done nothing, made no effort, and sits in some scummy house all day criticizing everyone else. The people I do feel sorry for are the ones who are working their butts off trying to get onto the property ladder as house prices become more ridiculous by the day.

because if they have the big house and big chances are they have done something very successfull witha company or good job and passed the tests etc to acheive , are they better than a normal person on the street, tough one moraly no of course not however they have certainly earned more money and can enjoy a better standard of life

that doesn't make them better. People wnt to live the american dream. who doesn't want to be rich as long you didn't do something immoral to acheive that goal.

look at what this country and every indvidual in it has been conditioned to believe! manifest destiny, open wide and consume all you can, and those who do are hailed as demigods control those who look up to them. don't bite. keep swimming.
