I have to say the Colts look to be the favorite. Yes they lost Cato June, but he can be replaced (Remember last season when everyone thought that losing Edge would be a catastrophe). Tony Dungy just needs to fill that loss with a quality LB.

Now that Dwight Freeney has been tagged the franchise player, I predict he will play his butt off. Typically good payers who are tagged try to excel the next year in order to increase their value. Indy won't be able to afford to tag him again next year.

The offense is still great and Dungy needs to focus on what he was known for prior to coming to the Colts; defense. Remember Tony Dungy was always considered a great defensive coach, now he needs to show that.

I am not sold on the moves the Pats made on offense. Randy Moss is a cancer he brings every team down. I do not believe Tom Brady, coach Bill, or Giselle will be able to control him. He will eat away at the team.

Daunte Stallworth is injury proned and I don't think he will last.

The one chance the Pats may have is if they can win early and win big. If they come out of the first 4 weeks 4-0 and totally dominating their competition that may quiet any locker room issues they will have. If they are 2-2, or worse, there will be some finger pointing.

Being a Bills fan is hard these days when you come across questions like this. The New England Patriots will win because they have a good coaching staff, good front office and disciplined players who want to win. The Patriots operate as a team instead of separate individuals on the football field and that's why they can always come up with a winning formula. Last year, the Patriots could have beaten the Colts but it's hard to beat a team when you can't beat yourself and that's what they did. Look for a rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles (as long as McNaab) stays heathly and the New England Patriots with the Pats winning by a field goal>

At first i want to say Colts, but then i start thinking about how hard it is to repeat. The colts also have a night and day defense. One week they are good the next terrible. I also didnt see them addressing the defense in the draft, which makes me worry. Based on the so far off season moves, I would have to predict that the Pats will win the superbowl ( as bad as i hate to say it). They have Tom Brady and an awesome coaching staff, and the addition of Randy Moss certainly helped.

Pats win the superbowl because of experience and the additions made during the off season.

I wana say Jets or Saints. Saints had a huge season last year and I think this will be the SB matchup. Last year the Jets adressed a huge need at running back with a darn good one! Their offensive line wont be half rookies anymore and Pennington is rumored to be having an EXCELLENT camp. The Offense is set. The defense has a huge hole filled at corner with Revis in the draft and the linebackers are good! Safety Kerry Rhodes had a pro bowl season last year but got robbed and Bryan Thomas is GREATLY improving in the 3-4. Kicker Mike Nugent is improving so greatly and is becoming a good kicker. Mangini brought in some ends for the 3-4 and he brought like 3 or 4. Mangini took a 4-12 team to 10-6 in his first year with 2 rookie o-linemen, no starting running back, a QB starting 16 games for the first time in his career, a defense with a huge hole at corner and inexperienced in the 3-4. I like how the Jets could have beat the Pats in the first game and DID in the 2nd game. Watch out for the Jets who are badly under the radar. Eric Mangini has the Bill Belichick type mind and will do good in his 2nd year.

Patriots
They were a force last year and they had major off-season improvemnts...look at them on paper they have no holes
-Offense-Brady should have a great year with his new recievers Moss and Stallworth and TE Welker
They also picked up a FB Sammy Morris and Maroney will be exciting to watch in his 2nd year
-Defense-Last year after Harrison was hurt yet again they had nobody, which is why they lost thhe game against the colts. This year they got a great 1st round safety in Merriwether and set themselves p with 2 first rounders next year
Also they picked LB Adalius Thomas whos is an amazing player and should have a break out year
I personally think the Pats r the best off-season dealers they always fill their holes and set up to be an elite team for years to come

Honestly, I'd say one of the following teams........

1. Patriots
2. Cowboys

The Patriots stocked up during the offseason this year. Their receiving corps, even without Randy Moss would have been ample for Tom Brady. He has the inept ability to make mediocre players step up around him. The acquisition of Adalius from the Ravens will be a nice impact as well. I honestly believe he was the best player on the free agent market. I think Randy Moss will be a blessing not a curse as well. Randy wants a ring, and he'll tow the line to get it. Teammates say he is as quick as ever.

I like the Cowboys because of their new coach Wade Phillips. When Dallas' defense was on key last year, they were quite a force to reckon with. I believe Phillips will bring a more agressive scheme to the defense, making them one of the top D's in the league. T.O., depsite the circus around him, should have a better year this than last. Like him or not, he did have a finger injury, which I could see making the count of dropped balls go up. Additions along the offensive line, a nice receiving corps, as well as a new offensive cordinator should open things up nicely.

patriots. they would have won last year but they had no recievers or secondary. they bring in moss stallworth and the guy from miami. juice up their secondary in the draft and sign maybe the best free agent in thomas from baltimore who will fit perfectly in belicheks hybrid defensive scheme. Maroney will run wild because of the new threat of brady passing. Moss will become the player he was in minnesota when he was tearing the league up.( he had no QB in Oakland, or protection) Brady will be the league MVP with Moss taking superbowl MVP. They need to get Asante samunel back though and playing. This team has it all and could have one of the best seasons in NFL history. If they stay healthy and if moss continues to be a positive performer and not implode they will have a chance to win every game. They Def. have to be the favorites going into the season and i think the only teams to contend with them will be san diego and Indy neither of whom had the off season like the patriots , but with LT and Peyton you cant count them out. a huge game will be New England going to indy during the season which will tell you how good the patriots really are. But i think New England beats the chargers in the AFC championship and then beats chicago in the superbowl.

I am a Kansas City Chiefs fan but how can one argue against the Saints.? Sean Payton is an offensive genius loaded with weapons. If the Defense can stop anybody, the Saints will shock the world by beating the Colts, Pats or Chiefs (i'm a diehard) in the Superbowl.

I think its obvious that the Superbowl winners will be the New England Patriots. Tom Brady has improved his accuracy and arm strength this offseason and he has a group of WRs most QBs dream about. He has some tall ones, some short ones, some burners, and some possesion recievers. He'll be able to score more with the talent he has. Also,Laurence Mauroney is a young workhorse of a HB. He's going to hit the ground running this season.

I am going to say the Indianapolis Colts. I am not picking the pats because no one knows how the team will come together. They now have too many big name players and am sure there will be more drama on that team. The Colts will repeat because Bob Sanders will be healthy this year, and when you can find a defense to consistently stop Peyton and the Colts offense, then and only then will the super bowl champions not repeat. Good luck to all the remaining teams, they will need it.
