Which card offers better performance for games like Medieval 2:total war with high settings and FIFA 07?

256Mb nVidia GeForce 8600 GTS PCI-Express VGA Card

XFX 256MB GeForce 7900GS Value PCI-Express VGA Card

Sapphire X1950Pro 512MB DDR3 Dual DVI VIVO AGP Graphics Card

It is very hard to compare graphics cards from different manufacturers because they each have their own strengths and weaknesses.

That said, for the games you mention, any of them will do so it will all come down to a matter of taste. I personally prefer nVidia graphics so I'd say the 8600, even though the Sapphire has twice the onboard memory!

I'm not too hot on the gaming scene, but I have been getting some pc hardware for my brother from the supplier I get my companies stuff from, and from what I've noticed it that the 8000 seriec card have support for directX10.0 where the others only suppoer 9.0. And from what my brother tells me the new games will be requiring directX10.0 I could be wrong, but check it out for yourself!

The Sapphire AGP version might produce slightly lower figures compared w/ the PCIe version. It is actually PCIe by design but uses a bridge chip so that it could interface w/ AGP.
