Right now, I live in Los Angeles.

I'm a Sophomore at a junior college, and I'm going to transfer to a 4-year in about two semesters to either study graphic design or art education.

I was looking at schools in Canada, and I fell in love with The University of Lethmore

It would be strange, since I've never even been to Canada.

I'm also a single parent, my son is 3, and he would be coming with me.

I would also have to get a job...

Do you think I'm trying to do too much??

I just need a little guidance.

First off you mean "Lethbridge" right? Not a top of the heap school but certainly legitimate. You might consider something like OCAD (Ontario College of Art and Design) in Toronto or Emily Carr in British Columbia if you want a more specialized design training. Often overlooked though is the Okanagan campus of the University of British Columbia, located in Kelowna. The Fine Arts programme there is excellent and as well there is an education programme. You could do a BFA and follow it up with a one-year B.Ed. program and find yourself, e.g. teaching art in Middle School.
For a lot of information about the university system in Canada and links to specific institutions see www.aucc.ca

Good luck.

Your problem would be getting a job. Normally, that isn't possible on a student visa, and an employer would have to prove that no Canadian was qualified to do the job in order to be able to hire you and allow you to get a work visa. Unless you have very specialized skills, that isn't terribly likely.
While it all sounds very romantic, I have to wonder why you, with responsibility for a 3-year old, would want to go somewhere where you apparently have no support system in order to attend a school which isn't considered one of the better ones in Canada?

You said that you are single mother with 3 yrs old son, to relocate and strange in Canada is very hard to study .My suggestion is to continue and finished your course in your country and if you want you can apply a job in canada.
