A great modern day batsman, lots of experiences, one of the best captains india ever produced, a fitness freak,i think he is the right man for the job.
I know he was linked with the match fixing isssue, but thats past and he has paid for his mistakes.BCCI should give him another chance to serve indian cricket.

Coaching is a specialised job and you have to have coaching experience to be considered for the job.I am not sure if Azar has been into coaching yet

While I quite agree that Mohammad Azaruddin was a great player and best Captain, he need not be a good coach as coaching is a profession which required specialised skill, which he does not possess. Further since he is a tainted pl,ayer he cannot command respect from the players.

He was a great batsman & fielder but Coach.....NO...even during his captaincy he did not show the sign of a good leader... And whatever happened to him is not going to go well with all the team members..his becoming coach could bring more friction within the team....And there r so many able coaches r there like Sandip Patil, Ravi shastry...

It is not a good idea.india needs a foriegn coach and needs a manager like ravisasthry.

Hope he will come good.He may be entrusted with coaching at junior level,because some of his contemporaries are still playing at test level.
