I had this happen to me when I was a teenager.
I went skating and wore a pair of skates that was to tight, it was a skate-a-thon, so I wore them for hours.
Any way, my toe nail turned dark, and lifted like yours and eventually fell off, and a new nail grew back really quickly.
Sounds like you hurt your toe some how.

the dark purple/black/or even red is blood and it was never vented and is now pulling your nail up from your toe and this can lead to infection as well as your nail falling off and you never having one grow back. Go to the Doctor and have them look at it to make sure nothing more is wrong with your foot. you must have stubbed it bad or dropped something on it that was a bit to heavy. SO see a doctor

some kind of tinea! get to the doctor quick or you'll lose that nail for sure!

Sounds like you stubbed your toe or you crushed it... Sounds like you're just losing your toenail. Just keep it really clean

I think you need to consult a dermatologist... Maybe when you did something, your toenail lifted and the blood got into it....

you better amputate your toe so you don't have to worry about your toe nail again.
