He defenitely deserve a place in ODI team. For staking his claim in Test Team, he has to improve his bowling a lot.

I think at this point of time, the Aussies should play Shane Watson in only the ODI and Twenty20 cricket. I don't think he has matured enough to play Test cricket, but he has got talent though. He should make that transition to Test Cricket soon.

i must admit i wasn't his biggest fan,but during the world cup he showed some of what he can do and the reason the selectors have shown faith in him,he bowls at 138-140km and his line and length have improved a hell of a lot and his batting at either the top or bottom of the order gives us another big hitting option,so for odi's yeah definately-test cricket is a different matter and his bowling would need to be at much better standard with more variation before you could consider him.

If he bowls 20-3-0 overs a tournament AND contributes with the bat then he's a useful addition. even with the undeniable fact that he's slightly bit a conundrum as i do no longer see him as fairly a try classification batsman yet he purely looks to love commencing up and the remarkable 4 is the engine room. individually i does no longer have him as i think of he desires to tutor his style in the longer style of the sport.
