My childhood friend once thought he was Batman and tried that, but died trying, (so I was told by my folks, not to act like him). Tragic, but a magnificent way to end a life is one way to look at it, huh? How can I finally make it work in his honor?

well i don't think you could actual stop them in the way that batman stops them in the movie or something!! but i bet you could stop them by you running around in a bat man costume!!
I do all though think you should not do it... if your friend really did die doing it i don't think he would want you to did doing it to!!!!!

Just make sure the cars or trucks are far away before you walk onto the street. That way they'll stop well before they can splatter you. Now go forth and carry out your destiny......batman!

You would certainly stop traffic since it's not everyday someone is dressed in a superhero's costume. People will wonder what you are doing and chances are great you will be going the mental ward.

you could, but I think the lesson you should take from your friend is that you might not.
When I was younger there was a guy in our town who thought he was Spiderman. He put on a homemade costume and was climbing on peoples' houses until they put him in jail. Then they put him in a mental institution when he started mixing his turds with rice crispies and throwing them out of his cell at the guards while yelling snap, crackle, pop. He was one strange dude.
