Hell yeah. Thank god for carpets. I can't stand socks in summer, cuz it's so damn hot here.

I am and was most all the time when I was younger and being raised in Arkansas. I rarely, if ever, wear shoes @ home, unless mowing the yard or doing something where I might drop something on my feet.
I also drink my liquor from an old fruit (or olive) jar, but that's a whole other subject...My wife is scandalized when people come over and I serve them Glenlivet in a mason jar...lol.
It's not that we don't have matched glasses, etc. I just feel (guilty?) weird throwing a perfectly good piece of glass in the trash can, just because some people think it's 'country'...

I'm barefoot... it's too hot to be wearing any shoes! But I'm at home... so I'm free to do what I like. The funny thing is about a year ago I started teaching piano at home, and I feel so weird having to wear shoes when I'm giving lessons cause all the students look at me like I'm doing something weird!!

I am barefooted, but I would not prefer to stay that way from now on. Your feet would always be dirty, and rough if you walked around bare foot all the time.

i grew up on a farm in the missouri ozarks. as a result, i can sprint barefoot on gravel roads- no problem. call me a hillbilly, but i'd prefer never to wear shoes at all.
