What happens if you rip up a homemade Ouija board?

I am not looking for answers like "nothing will happen because it's not real" or anything.

Me and my friend attempted a seance, but were unsuccessful. We used a prayer of protection, a white candle, and we made sure to say Goodbye after we were done. Then a day later at night, i was trying to take the homemade Ouija board we used off another piece of paper, and ripped it. Not more than 2 minutes passed before my dog started acting weird and whining and staring fixidly at one spot in my room, and then my birds started chriping loudly and consitantly and flapping around, and my CD started skipping. Possible explanations are;
1. My dog wanted to eat the birds.
2. My birds flap at random times when they want out.
3. My CD skips sometimes.

We thought of the ripped Ouija board, and grabbed our Christian crosses, and said a prayer of protection and left the room, and everything stopped.

Any advice on what I could do, or anything I did wrong?

Teh only thing you did was play with a Ouija board. No good can come from it. I would not worry spirtis can not transfer over and harm us, but keep praying and never use that board again. You will be okay.

Ripping a piece of paper will not cause problems as you describe. It is pure coincidence that the events happened when they did. There is nothing in a Ouija board whether homemade or not that can cause events such as you suggest. It is a piece of paper with some letters on it. Tear a piece of newspaper. That will have exactly the same effect. Nothing.

A Ouija board, whether bought or home-made, has no intrinsic power, or any properties not already present in the material from which it's made. Rip it up if you want to; set fire to it, throw it in the trash, it doesn't matter.

It's use, however, is either very dangerous, or very foolish.

If you don't know who or what you're contacting, it's very dangerous; whatever spiritualists may tell you, your 'dear departed' aren't waiting in line to talk to you; they've moved on, they don't come back. What you ARE talking to (if you reach anything) are elementals seeking a portal into the physical world; they're very clever at deceiving you into believing that they are who they tell you they are, but have no means of entry into the material world unless they're invited in.
Using a Ouija board without knowing this is like putting your hand into a lion's cage in the dark.

If you know that this is what you're contacting, and you go ahead anyway, you're very foolish.
Using a Ouija board knowing that this is what you're talking to, is like putting you hand into a lion's cage in broad daylight and trying to pet the lions.

When you destroy a Oujia board you destroy your opportunity to try to communicate with the Afterlife where all your dead friends and relatives now Live.
When those we know die and they go to the Afterlife they take with their Spirit all their intelligence, thoughts and memories that they had when they walked the Earth and they quite often want to communicate with those they knew back on Earth.
They can come to us in our dreams and they can appear to us around our homes and almost anywhere but unless you have the ability to see and hear them or you learn to accept and interpret them when they appear to you in Dreams they cannot get through to in a way that you believe and accept their abilities to communicate and therefore when they see someone with a Oujia Board they know someone on Earth is becoming interested and wants to learn how to communicate with them in the Afterlife.
One day when we die we will all be there and sometimes people call us ghosts and haunts and are afraid of us, and while there are a few benovelent spirits in the Afterlife there are still a lot of good ones who want us to be happy to know they are alive.
We have been taught about demons and we believe they are some raging demon but in reality sometimes people who die terrible deaths like in accidents and or if they have been brutally murdered it may take them a while to adjust to this state and once in a while some of them may return to torment those on earth that they h ave a grudge against and this is when people begin to experience hauntings and sometime possessions because in the case of say a Murder the Spirit of the dead may decide to return and torment their killers and or those they blame for unhappinesses in life and they may decide to treat them in an unkind way, but normally in time they adjust to their death and the new life they are now experiencing and become well adjusted.
This is not meant to scare anyone but to prepare them for working through Oujia Boards and to say once in a while you may meet up with an unhappy spirit who is not happy with their new Dead State and on occassion you may find a relative who wants to see how you react and wants to have a little fun at your expense.
But mainly you will just come in contact with the spirits of your dead realtives who want to on occassion say hello and sometimes give advice when you are looking for an answer to a problem in your everyday life.
