I have been learning about youger people becoming mayor of a city. I live in Lima, Ohio and I'm wondering if people think a 20 year old could win mayor of a medium sized city. I have always been interested in politics and I really dislike the mayor we have now. Just looking for some input and maybe some help on how to be on a ballot. Thank you!

In Pittsburgh, PA we have a 24 year old mayor. He became mayor when the previous mayor died. He seems to be doing a decent job and is up for election next year. If a 24 year-old can run Pittsburgh, a 20 year old should be able to run Lima since it is a smaller city and probably does not have as much debt.

Yes, go for it. Of course, you need to also have the intelligence and stamina it requires. I saw and heard on television, a few months ago, of a young man becoming Mayor of his city, for some of the same reasons. This is America! You can, if you choose to.
