I know this seems ridiculous, but I am living in th4e middle of a heatwave worse than any since I was a child...and have a frqactured ankle right now, I have literally turned the living room upside down, any soothesayers or quasi-psychics out ther ewith any good ideas on where it REALLY is? Including pockets and the fridge!!! Well????Anyone????? Got an inkling???? HELP!!!!!! I want my remote contol!!!!

under the couch, end tables, maybe in the entertainment center. Best is to retrack what you did with it last. Or let it be for alittle while, and then in plain site it will show up.
My remote does that too, it hides under the furniture to take a nap, or by the fridge trying to get a snack. That remote is trouble, LOL!

Try looking under the seats or sofas...
It's not ridiculous, but it seemed odd that you asked us here! ^_^
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I know your ankle is fractured, but since you could search for the remote everywhere, the TV itself has buttons too for switching the channels...

In the bathroom, on the dining room table, behind the couch? These are a few of the places I have found mine.

Check:
-countertop
-bedroom(s)
-under the couch
-between seat cushions
-bathroom(s)
-trash
-your car (or truck.. I have found my remote in my car at least once and I dunno why)
-if you have kids, check their rooms
-garage
That's why having a remote is a big responsibility and one of the easiest things to lose. Having a HUGE remote should solve your future missing remote problem as they are harder to hide or get unseen.

Try the bathroom. I sometimes wander in there absentmindedly still holding it and then set it down by the sink meaning to pick it up on my way out.

It's usually in the most obvious of places, check the cabinet where you keep your food, you may have dropped it to pick up the ingredients or whatnot.
