it all comes down to ego which is beyond race. People need to find some reason why they are more important than others.

I've really thought about this too. I mean, we are in the 21st century and we're STILL putting down other races because of their skin color. You think humans would have advanced by now and skin color wouldn't even be an ISSUE. (It isn't for me, anyway) There are just too many ignorant, hateful people in the world who are afraid of people who are different from themselves. They are afraid of something they don't understand, so they have to downgrade different races because of their skin color or culture differences instead of embracing them. I think that's why sometimes fear turns into hatred. I wish I understood it better as well. Hopefully, someday soon (we can only hope) that all people will become enlightened and embrace the differences in people.

I don't understand it either. I agree with you, people should be based on who they are, rather than what they are. I love having a diversified group of friends, I don't think of any of them as different. Although I have had people say things. I don't get it, and we probably never will unfortunately.

The hatred will not end until the majority of black people learn to act decent. Act respectable and you will receive respect.
I know not all blacks are idiots, but take a look at the other members of your race. Blame them for what people think of you... they are the ones who are giving you a bad rap!
I love the answer below me. And you really think that we are jeleous of you and that is what makes us racist. Come on, that is one of those stupid answers that I mentioned.

it's not the skin color, it's the attitude that comes from certain cultural groups in US.
Ever noticed how successfull blacks got little-to-none exposure to African-American culture?

It's all to do with jealousy. Our colour is beautiful and they can only achieve a little colour by spending money and risking skin cancer.
