What is the problem?

People act like someone is snatching up a child from a woman that is expecting, and then rip it apart for research.

Isn't it Donated or created for the sole purpose of stem cell research? Therefore the fetus, or whatever is used, wouldn't of ever been created in the first place ....no harm done....Right?

if not i'd really like to hear why, because i seriously don't know.

the Vatican recently in history claimed that a soul is created at the moment of conception in order to solidify their stance against abortion. this caused a conflict when embryonic stem cell research came into the picture because the egg needs to be fertilized to grow into an embryo. the people you refer to are religious nuts that actually think there is a soul in the cluster of 100 cells. it isnt about stealing a child from a mother, its about killing a soul. the brain of a fruit fly actually contains many times more cells than the embryos used in the experiments so there is obviously no brain or mind there but since they claim a soul exists they claim they can say the embryo is a person.

Have you heard that they are getting close to being able to use skin cells in the same way that stem cells have been shown to work? Apparently it has already been accomplished in lab rats. This is exciting because it could finally end this ridiculous debate over a bio-technology that could end the pain and suffering of so many people.

I see you've not read much on the subject.

There is more to stem cell research than the embryonic sources.

Embryonic Stem Cell Research is what President Bush is opposed to. Not all Stem Cell Research. He has not made it illegal either, he just won't approve Federal Funds for it.
