I would leave it up to the professionals who know what they are doing, as its very hard to kill of a termites nest unless you kill the queen termite. You will recognize her because she looks like a long white slug, but she's very hard to find. Cheers and good luck.
P.S. If you tamper with the nest and don't get her, then she will quickly move on and start another nest going else-where.

You have to find the main nest which houses the Queen and remove and destroy the termites will then die as they are very much in need of returning to their nest as they are known as a social group ~~
