Are they not responsible for putting themselves in such a blatantly dangerous situation (this was not a professionally organized event):

It really irks me that these spectators are blaming everyone but themselves.

So, what your saying, everytime I go to some sort of event, whether it's a parade, a drag race, a rodeo, as a spectator with my family, that I'm responsible and, the people, whether it's an asinine dragster racer that isn't using his head and, in lieu of a crowd without railings or some sort of safety devices, races his car in a unsafe condition and unsafe place, without common safety or courtesy, that it's my fault for putting my family in that place?
Are you also saying that the next time this happens, then they should give a parade, a race or whatever, and no one came because of your thinking?

How ridiculous: They encourage people to come and then show off in a dangerous manner, that driver should be barred from ever driving again and, he and whomever sponsored him, should be held accountable.
