Steve Waugh,Shane Warne,Bevan,Magrah,Demain martin, justinLanger,Gillespie e.c.t all these players are proven match winners who retired from Australian team and go trough the profile of Sachin and Sourav no doubt they have the records with them but how many times have they been match winners for INDIA or How times have these two great players saved India From Defeat.
Other than weak opposition and dead wickets were else have these two preformed.
Indian circket lovers will thank these two for quitting and for sure India has much better future with out them.
We are circket crazy nation in the world and we can produce better players than Australians it is just a matter of time once the selection gets in to the right hands we will not have legends but for sure we will have eleven match winners in INDIAN team.

If Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar quits from cricket, this will enable two good cricketer to cement its place in the team. So called friction between senior/junior will lessen....Present phase is one of the wors phase of indian cricket and it will end when present seniors (who r not performing) will retire and the team will be run by new enthusiasts like dhoni & yuvraj......THIS IS THE BEST THING CAN HAPPEN TO INDIAN TEAM AT PRESENT...

Cricket is a team game and the overall infrastructure of the game in the country plays aa big role in the performance of the country's team.
saurav and sachin are not to be blamed for the team's poor show.
We have a population of more than 1 billion ppl who love the game like any thing.
We jus need a good management of the game to support the talent of the country towards the game.
when this deadly combination is achieved, INDIA would turn the tide on its head and teams like australia would be cought un covered. jus wait and watch
and the process would be such that it would automatically produce many saorav's and sachin's...

Without any doubt its Rahul Dravid. He has contributed a lot to Indian cricket. Sehwag and Yuvraj have to play 5-8 years more to reach near Dravid.

Well, there would be problems for some time but as new players come in...the team would be back in its shape...
There all still so many fantastic players who want to get into the Indian team...If they get a chance to play.. Indian team will shine !!!

just means younger and more player who are in shape will come in to contribue
its not like ganguly and tendulkar are producing hundreds at will like they used...they're more of a liability on the field and are slow scorers while batting
get rid of em and bring in mohammad kaif and robin uthappa instead of these two bums
