With all these massive storms and floods in New South Wales I am wondering if it has been falling in our catchment areas and filling all the dams. Has anything been written about this yet?

It has certainly been amazing - As of 3pm Thursday June 21st, the city's dams were 50 per cent full, up 10.8 percentage points on the previous week thanks to heavy rainfall that added about 7½ months' worth of water to the drinking supply.

The dams are now at their highest since May 2004 with about 180 millimetres of rain falling across the Warragamba catchment since June 7.

Yes, there has been a lot of water in the catchments. Warragamba is expected to rise to 50% full in the next few weeks.
