You dont really need to go to school or buy any dvd to learn how to make a website. Everyone can make a website, it is just if your website is nice or ugly that all. If you wanna make a nice and cool website that people will wanna visit it. Say you will need to learn the basics, try downloading Dreamweaver, it is a very good website builder. After you master how to use the software. Make a website that suit your taste but alway remember, your website must be cool and have a lot of nice design so that others will come to take a look at your website.
Good luck=D

Hi,
I had the exact same question about 6 months ago. I didn't have a clue where to begin. I knew NOTHING about the whole mysterious process. To make a long story short, I now have a website of over 200 pages and have actually started earning some money from it (picture me grinning). I am so pleased with myself. You can check it out at http://www.chocolate-candy-mall.com if you want to take a peek.
Anyway, I learned it all at home through the company I joined called SBI. I love them. They taught me step by step in very easy to understand language and downloadable video tutorials exactly what to do. Amazing what I have learned.
You certainly don't have to learn html or anything to get started, although I must admit I have picked up a bit of knowledge in that area as I have progressed through the process. It does make it easier in the end, but slow and steady wins the race. I loved learning how to build a website. I'm already planning for my next one.
For a free tour of SBI either click on the Site Build It link at the bottom of any page on my website, or just follow the link from my avatar profile.
You definitely can do it, and do it well. I wish you the best. I say, go for it! :)

If you are currently a paid Internet subscriber, you are entitled to a "homepage" which often contains simple navigation and editing tools. And if you use the Netscape browser, the built-in Composer feature is a superior HTML authoring tool. You can easily generate a full-blown website as a Homepage.
Nevertheless, the "homepage" URL is likely to be "http://homepage.earthlink.com/subscriber... name" and that URL can easily be overwritten via a redirection service, i.e., "mydomain.com" which allows you to link any registered domain name to "mask" another website. For example, should you type in the "domain name," you will be immediately transported to the homepage and the hompage URL of http://homepage.earthlink.com/subscriber., a homepage URL which will be masked by the domain name. And the charge for the redirection service [even at godaddy.com] is normally FREE.
Here's a demonstration: Type in the URL window: "www.pizzanextdoor.com" which will bring up their pizza website. Take note of the domain name. Then type in the URL window: "http://home.pacbell.net/vten/1a/pizzamen... and you will see that this is the original homepage which is unmasked without the domain name.
Good luck!

Webstarts.com is your answer. It's free to sign up and their online editor uses simple drag and drop functionality so you need zero web experience to build completely custom websites. They also have image search and video search tools, so dropping videos, images, text and even music takes 1 or 2 clicks at most. Check them out here: http://Webstarts.com
You can also register a domain or configure it to work with your existing domain. They make it really simple and provide everything: hosting, domain registration, tons of templates to choose from, images, videos, etc... I've never found anything out there quite like it. It's pretty powerful, and at the same time super easy to use.

there are websites that offer free tutorials like "w3schools" you can search for HTML for basic web designing, however if your really serious then you also have to search for CSS, that's a more advanced designing tool for building a website. if your really really really serious then add an extra ASP, PHP, JSP etc on it. just one of it will do. it's for coding your website functions. well, simply saying its a programming/scripting language.
