They were 5 feet away. The only thing I remember was that I was wearing baggy black pants and hoodie and I used to shave my head. Am I scary?

You may not "actually" be scary, but mama's are always going to be protective of their children and your appearance at the time probably looked scary, or at least suspicious.

I know how you feel I use to keep my head shaved (seven years) and I got called everything from a convict to a Nazi.... But I liked having my head shaved it felt great during the summer. Maybe the mother wasn't just freaking out about your style and attire, maybe she has issues with the safety of her kid.
It's kind of funny that in today's modern world, with all the stuff going on that people will still try to judge you by what you wear.. funny but sad.

That sure sounds a little creepy. Last I heard, a shaved head IS one of the top traits of a pedophile.

There are different kinds of people every where and they have different opinions about how people look. Mothers are just like animals, who tend to be extremely protective when nursing.
It probably wasn't because your are scary, but rather because she really careful since you might not see him.

i'd say she was worried. remember, lots of robberies you see on tv caught by video survellance cameras have guys in hoodies. Easy to hide. Then there is the stigma of baldness with skinheads.
Doesn't mean it is right, it just is.

Yeah you must be. I have the opposite problem - random strange mothers always want to leave their young children with me while they go shopping.
