Add chlorine to potassium bromide and potassium iodide solutions.

Add bromine to potassium chloride and potassium iodide solutions.

Add iodine to potassium chloride and potassium bromide solutions.

In each case, look for a change in colour. Any change will be due to a change in the free halogen present.
