Apart from some dubious claims rejected by the scientific community (described below), telekinesis has never been demonstrated or observed. Many people have tried, and many people have claimed the ability, but all demonstrations have utterly failed. It goes without saying that someone with such an ability would go down in history, become world famous and wealthy beyond measure. If someone had the demonstrated ability, we'd know it.

As a side note, there was a research group at Princeton for about 25 years which worked on PK. The group, after working so hard and so long, refused to consider that their work was wasted, but outside objective analysis showed that their work was indeed a flop. There are a number of fatal statistical flaws in their experimental analysis that can be easily identified (see skepdic.com link and others).

(Note: The skepdic.com site links directly to the Princeton site. But just to silence uninformed critics, I included the Princeton link here as well.)

So, no, as of yet there is no evidence for telekinesis/psychokinesis, and as far as our scientific knowledge goes, there is absolutely nothing about the human brain that would suggest it could have such powers.

Are you following Carrie White? Concentrate on the item you want it to move, picture it moving. You might wanna learn how to transfer your chemical energy out from your palms (we have 40% of them, energy can't be created or destroyed - Albert Einsteins), since that is what Carrie does. Breaking glasses will not happen. Screaming does no help either. Developing strong telekinesis may effect items used that needs electric. Its actually electromagnetic field. A type of magnetic field that can destroy/effect lights, computers, watches etc.

moving things with your mind is really hard,
interfacing with machines or matter is easier,
and just as fun

neal slade figured out a really neat trick called "amygdala poping"
I can't find the page teaches you how, this one just says how good it is.
http://www.neilslade.com/art/Brain/chap1.html

so to do it,
you imagine your amygdala (there are 2 of them in your brain between the temples and straight back from each eye)
then imagine 2 feathers tickling them to make nerve connections toward your frontal lobe.
this method works well for most people.
when you get it, you will feel it, usually within 5 min.

then practice of failing machinery to make it work again,
or on making small puffy clouds go away one at a time.
it is scary how well it works.

be cautioned that
medical news today dot com
had an article that showed people with the amygdala well connected to the frontal lobe had more allergies than normal people.
my guess is that when your every thought changes your world, it messes with you, and not in good ways.

Awww, Ricky. You make it sound so easy! "You simply have to give it the energy without touching it." How glibly the paranormalists dismiss things like physical laws. Tell ya what, if it's so easy, go get the million dollars from JREF for demonstrating it just ONCE, under conditions that prevent cheating.
And Ram Rod, you realize this cult thing is exactly what some people have done. The trickery is always a good hook for starting a cult. The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi promised enlightened levitation, along with a lot of other new-age sew-age. Some people gave him their life savings for the sessions. Some spent tens of thousands of dollars. They never levitated, but the good guru was able to buy 96 Rolls Royces before he was quietly asked to leave the country. (Apparently, poverty and shunning of materialism was not part of his brand of Eastern philosophy.)

Undoubtedly, the best way to learn telekinesis is through my 3 week sleepover camp "Mind Tricks for Mindless Morons". Granted, you will need to have your mommy fill out the permission slip, and she'll have to fork over 5 grand to cover the admittance fee, but surely it will be worth every penny. Sign up today!!

Like others have said, practise is indeed a really important step. But first you have to believe in your ability to succeed.

As you work on this belief along with general telekinesis practise, you'll find significant improvement through time.

I've found that luck games can be very good practise for this. You can for example go to: http://www.psi.juzaz.com and practise with the games found there. Once you get really good control over them, maybe you can consider moving real things.

Just be really careful to avoid external influence when you get to moving things because breathing alone can cause weird effects when you don't expect it to.

To learn it you may need to practice and practice and maybe your mind may find the proper pathway to make it happen.

Personally I believe your brain works in this way, when you attempt to learn something your brain fires all over to find the proper path to do what you want to do say learning how to ride a bike, play a musical instrument anything your brain really gets active to find a way to make that happen. So why not Telekinesis? Maybe you / we just need to practice and attempt to block the idea its impossible because there are not millions of people doing it.

Theres also a chance if someone had the ability for real would they show it? Remember the witch hunts of the past, also the government would really like to say hello. Would you show you had the ability?

Just my 2 cents

You really can't, because it doesn't exist.

If it did, there'd be a huge demand to learn it, I'm sure. It would be wonderful to be able to move stuff by just thinking about it! Such an ability would have a million applications in everyday life.

The irony of this question is that the more you learn the less likely it is that you'll believe in silly bunk like TK.
