It was a "legacy" admission.

the element is your grades could nonetheless be As AND Bs and you may pass to a stable college although not an ivy league because of the fact all and sundry desires to pass to an ivy league college. the element is you could not pass to an ivy league college anymore because of the fact which you have not have been given immediately A's because of the fact your competetions to get in those colleges have intense As averages and nonetheless get rejected and because you're having difficulty now in intense college, the probabilities you wil get a desirable Sats scores are very narrow to none. What i could advice is detect a stable college and artwork to get a minimum of an A customary or interior the best 10 percentile of your classification and do super on the SATs so which you will get into that school.

I would like to know his SAT score & compare to other admitted students. Or how about his IQ score?
It is pretty obvious he was not much of a science student. If he doesn't agree then any & all scientific findings mean absolutely nothing.
His English skills are fun. He was probably an outstanding student in his ESL classes. Those A's helped raise his GPA all the way up into the mid-2 level.
If he is brilliant, he sure has a way of hiding his abilities.
Based on his presidency, I would think Daddy Bush got him where he is today. First at Yale & now in the whitehouse.

I just had to get into this discussion!
First of all, just because we know that President Bush maintained a C average while in Yale, we know nothing about how he got into the school. For all we know, Bush could have had a very high gpa in high school and great SAT scores (and for all those saying Bush had a 1200, know that his scores have never been released!)

Also, we have to remember that admissions into the Ivy League was not nearly as challenging when Bush was there as it is now. For instance, as late as 1992, Havard had an overall acceptance of 16%, Penn nearly 50%, and Yale right around Harvard. Go back even further, and we are talking about a significant increase in acceptance rates for these great schools.

Also, financial aid is it is today is a relatively new concept, so you basically had to have money in order to attend one of these schools. So, the applicant pool would have been lower too. Thus, increasing Bush's chances of admission.

I know many of you have a problem with Bush, but before you start bashing him you need to do your research first and not just talk out of your ***.

Based on the grades he obtained in the public records that were realized during the 2000 election he got in because of his grades. Neither of the programs he graduated from a Yale undergrad degree or Harvard MBA passes people because of their father's money or power just look at how Teddy Kennedy was expelled from Harvard at one time for cheating. And his family was probably more powerful than the Bush's at the time.

Do you believe in the tooth fairy ?
America ( although the best country in the world) is not a democracy. It is only a few families that can afford to run for power. Where the money goes is amazing ???
Most people think that the bush money came from the oil money . Yet the senior bush was able to go to ivory league harvard. Look back to see the origins of the money.

All of the rationalizing and the lies are always very amazing.

No...

Do you support the Democratic Congress?

Six months ago, the Democratic Party regained its majority in an election that was not just about Iraq. The new House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, said the American people ‘called for greater integrity in Washington, and Democrats pledge to make this the most honest, ethical and open Congress in history.’ The history of the intervening months has only confirmed that promises in Washington have a very short shelf life. Any promise not fulfilled within 60 days after an election is apparently considered expired, to be replaced with new promises... The most recent, and serious, backtrack on earmark reform is the unilateral declaration of House Appropriations Chairman David Obey that pork projects would be ‘airdropped’ into conference reports once appropriations bills pass the House and Senate. Mr. Obey’s move is a brazen attack against the platform his own leadership enthusiastically endorsed and many of his colleagues campaigned on. Placing pork into bills at the last possible moment would circumvent new House rules and make it vastly more difficult for members of Congress, outside groups and activists to identify and challenge egregious projects. Rather than setting a new standard of openness and honesty, it would set a new standard for secrecy and subterfuge.” —Sen. Tom Coburn

Ok, here is the best answer to your question.....No, he didn't. He did, by all reports, have good grades and test scores, but of course his family had something to do with it. Now, a question for you, Can you get by your hatred of our president and realize that EVERYONE with a rich and influential family does the same thing? Do you honestly believe that no democrat, or liberal would ever help their child get into a better school, or get a better job by using their influence?

Of course I believe that. Just listen to the man speak. have you ever heard such eloquence and perfect diction? George W. Bush earned his way all the way. I heard on fox news that he turned down his dad's help to start a business and instead earned the money for his oil company by mowing lawns and helping little old ladies with their yard work. He was a fighter ace in Vietnam and he single handedly shot down the entire Vietnamese air force while also carrying wounded troops on his back from the Cambodian border to Saigon. Its entirely coincidence that his dad was also a president that or just the fact that divinely inspired leadership runs in his family.
I believe it all.
I believe that Saddam had a nuclear arsenal and he just forgot to use it when we overran his country.
I believe that giving billions of dollars to oil companies to fund alternative energy research is in no way a conflict of interest.
I believe that allowing thousands of agents to tap phones is not a danger to my privacy.

I could be a moron though.

There is no way in hell that he got in for his good grades. If you are rich in the US you can get whatever you want and you can do whatever you want. I was 30th out of 350 in my graduating class and I didn't get accepted into any of the colleges I applied for. Now, I have 4 kids and a manager of a national pizza chain. WooHoo!!!!!!!

George, Jr. made his own way academically. There are many students from wealthy families that are shown the door due to academic failure though I don't doubt that the lib mind would conjure up a conspiracy that the Phillips Academy, Yale and Harvard would all participate in.

He, also, made his own way in the business world. His oil businesses fell upon hard times in the '80's but so did every other Texas oilman's business. He turned a $800k investment into $15 million profit upon selling 5 years later after having served as an acting co-manager.

He is not the buffoon SNL mimicking libs make him out to be and their efforts just make them look uninformed and undereducated.
