I dont think Harry is going to die at all. I hope he lives. He deserves some peace.

Harry isnt a Horcrux.
My reasons for this are because Harry has to destroy all the Horcruxes before he can go after the last bit of soul the part in Voldemort. So Harry cant be a horcrux himself. Who would kill Voldemort? After all Harry is "the one with the power to kill the Dark Lord"
LOL

First, we are assuming that either Harry or Voldemort dies. I believe that Harry lives, because it is a children's/YA series after all and the central character of such series never die, JKR will not buck that canon.

Second, Harry is not a horcrux!
This idea makes no sense in light of the prophesy for one, and why would Voldemort put part of his soul into someone he might have to fight anyway. If he kills Harry, he's wasted part of his soul. Also, I reject the idea that Harry became a horcrux as an unintentional byproduct of the rebounding of Voldemort's killing curse. The byproduct is known and is the empathic bound between the two, and that's all, IMHO.

Remember too that all the horcruxes have to be destroyed before Voldemort is vulnerable to death. If Harry is a horcrux, then Harry must die first, then Voldemort. So it would mean that Harry would have to loose a killing curse at Voldemort just after Voldemort loosed a killing curse against him--that is very tricky timing!.

I take the prophecy to mean that vanquishing Voldemort it Harry's job--no chance that Voldemort becomes vulnerable with a Harry sacrifice and with Harry dead, someone else kills Voldemort. Voldemort is too powerful for others to kill, and I believe Harry has something about him that will enable him to finish the job.

Obviously not. If she kills harry then the book makes no sense at all. I don't think he'll die...I think Voldemort will surely die killed by harry or not. It's a book meant for children in those type of books the bad one dies and the good lives, that's how it goes. But if Harry dies I would feel so dissapointed I've been a huge fan of the series and wouldn't want an end like this..let's hope she doesn't kill him :)

J.K. Rowling has always been clear that this HAS to be the last Harry Potter book, she planned the outline of the books when she developed her original idea for HP and has always said that the final book will have a conclusive ending.

If he lives, even if he kills Voldemort, there's always a possibility of another book and it isn't very conclusive.

Sorry but i think she's killed him.

ok for starters if JKR does not kill off harry, no one else can continue on writing another book without her permission so that doesn't matter. and i don't believe that voldemort would make a horcruxe into a living thing. there would be too much of a risk involved. i hope that JKR does NOT kill off harry because that would just be a really sad ending to this wonderful series!!!

haha, I would be so happy if she did.

Anyway, I tihnk she might. Harry, or part of his body, might be a horcrux and would need to be destroyed in order to destroy Voldemort. Also, I can see Rowling not wanting anyone else to write and publish sequels or anything after the wrap of the series, so she might kill him off to stifle that. Rumors, rumors...:)

I blame Harry for Sirius' death in book 5, so I hope he gets what's coming to him for falling into a trap that killed Sirius Black. Siri is my favorite :)

Yeah I think so because she probably wants to end the series.

No, she said in an interview that she would but i've been thinking, would an author really give away something THAT huge? I don't think so.
