Len Dawson. A back-up player with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns in the NFL, Dawson became one of the standouts at his position in the AFL although he was a counterpoint to the prevalent throw-the-long-bomb mentality of QB's in the league in the 1960s (Darryl Lamonica, Joe Namath, John Hadl) Much like Bart Starr in the NFL, Dawson was a very accurate short to medium passer and a conservative but savvy play-caller who executed Hank Stram's multiple offense to perfection.

Huard and Coyle will only be super bowl quarterbacks if they get traded. CHiefs management is among the worst in the league. It has been a long time since Super Bowl IV and it will be a lot longer before the Chiefs return to the big one, especially with Edwards as its coach.

Len Dawson, who's in the Hall of Fame and is currently doing TV sports reporting in KC. (Notice that they haven't gotten remotely close to another Super Bowl since.)
