ABSOLUTELY! - I am continuing with my volunteering energies in my local school district. After serving as a H.O.S.T.S. (Helping One Student To Succeed) mentor (part of the Americas Promise Initiative) for each of the previous seven years, I am stepping up my energies as a (full fledged) SUBSTITUTE TEACHER.
I was advised that the two "methods" (Hosting a single student and Teaching a full class) are opposite, but I cannot make the difference in distiction. I successfully make "a Personal Impact" on each individual student as a class! :-)
This ^ is the response I continually get from all the classes I "teach." - GO FIGGER!

I biked up a LOT of hills the other day, and I was very proud of that.

And getting over my nerves when I'm about to go on stage or recite someting in front of the class makes me extremely pround, since I am rarely not nervous. But I always get up and do it anyway! (Even when I'm shaking....)

Amanda......

In school last semester, I had to take an Organic Chemistry Class to Finally get my Degree in Biotechnology..

There was a Lady that was in my Class that had a Lab Partner that quit on Her and Dropped the Class...She did not have a Lab Partner and she just had given Birth to her Son in December...She already had 3 Kids as well as a Husband and a Job....She needed my help in order for her to get a B-average to keep her Scholarship....

I decided to help her because I wanted to be unselfish in my last semester in school....So what I did was to Tutor her and to also help her out with the Labs...

She ended up getting her B-average and Keeping her Scholarship and I finally Graduated....

Took a risk of getting run over yesterday to move a 12" or so size turtle to safety. Just couldn't think of it getting tossed around all over the road and having a slow death.

Let's see. I've written a novel, won the solo academic award in my grade, gotten Honor role every single trimester I've been enrolled in, earned a first-place trophy in every sport I've played in a league for (basketball, volleyball, water polo, flag football, tackle football, soccer), and I've become very computer savy.
