I'll be honest with you, most women don't know anything when it comes to cars and this comes from a woman. I would stick to a man but just make sure he doesn't overcharge you.

go to a dealership! i know u will pay more. these "mechanics" on almost every city corner are for the most part aholes. just looking to lie and cheat to make money. With a dealership u have the manufacture to help if there is a problem with the dealership. Good Luck, Mark

Where do you find female auto mechanics? I've never seen one.
Do they have their own section in the Yellow Pages?
