I asked this question 3 months ago & got inundated with 'that's a good tool, that's not a good tool, this other stat is better' etc.

I DON'T CARE. We all have our opinion on that.

The question IS - DO THEY actively track this or not, and if so, can it be accessed via the internet or some other way?

Thanks for your consideration!

ive searched all over the net after reading your question and it appears they do NOT track even strength G.A.A. but i think its an excellent idea..im a goaltender and my grandfather was a star NHL goalie in the 20-30's..this would make an excellent stat and would give alot of insight into a goaltenders true worth.as well they could even break down save per centage(which i feel is a truer test of a goaltenders ability)and make that even strength and short handed as well!

they do not keep that stat, but they should. There is nothing I hate more than a bonehead player taking a penalty, and costing me my GAA stat. I am a goalie. this stat isn't kept because the goalie is responsible for all shots, not just the ones even strenghth. Plus with the new stricter rules, most of the game is on the powerplay and penalty kill.

No, they do not track it. It is not an official stat, and I'm not quite sure how one would go about finding out a goalie's GAA at even strength.

Sorry!

No, the NHL doesn't actively track Even Strength GAA............and why should they? How would you correlate that with the number of odd man rushes they defend against? How would you correlate it using a shot analysis?

If you want to calculate it, look on yahoo.com and go through the Goalies Game Log and calculate it yourself.

Next thing you will want the NHL to actively track a player's scoring percentage while even strength.......
