One course at a time. Probably you need 3 terms of algebra and 1 of geometry before getting into the BIG TIME.

I agree with the previous answers, that you need to take the courses, do the homework, and ask questions in class. But I would like to add that you need to know algebra really well when you start calculus. (You need to know some facts from geometry and some trig identities too, but algebra is the main thing.) Some students take each subject with the attitude that when the final exam is over they can forget the whole thing because they'll never use it again. This doesn't work in math.

So if your algebra is a bit rusty, you might want to brush up before you hit calculus. It's hard to be re-learning algebra while you're in the middle of calculus.

work problems!! the more you work the more youl learn. if you have a question ask a teacher for help. ive taken calc and stat classes and the only way to really comprehend is to try problems and ask questions
