Sounds very like a belt that has broken ,don't use it without belt as that's how fires start in dryers ♥

Most likely problem is a worn or broken belt. Other problems that will cause the dryer to not tumble include a motor problem or broken door switch. This website has suggestions and directions for checking these items.

It could be a belt or it be the drive motor. This depends on the make and model. Look up your model on Sears parts and take a look at the parts diagram. This will let you determin if your model is belt or idler wheel drivin. You can also order your replacement part from the same webite. Go to sears.com and click on parts. Then punch in your model #, it should pull up your machine.

It sounds like your belt just broke, look to see if it's tumbling when it's running, if not, then the belts broken. Either call someone or try and do it yourself, it's not that hard.

Some dryers are belt driven. You may want to check that before you run it again.
