I have a collection of coins. Most of them were collected on the beaches of Saipan. The coins come from U.S. soldiers who stormed the beaches in Saipan during WWII. My father was a beach comber for many years and collected alot of stuff over the years.

I recommend going to a local coin show. Admission is usually about $2. There will be lots of dealers there and you can get bids from each of them for free. The danger is that you may end up becoming interested is all the cool stuff there and spend more than you sell your coins for.

You can look at similar coins online. Ebay has lots of coin dealers.

If the bulk of what you have are from the 30's and 40's they will not be worth much beyond silver content. That's 90% now not sure of back then. I have a 1888 and 1921 Morgan but each is only worth $30.00 at most. Pennies were solid copper if you found any copper. Those are worth .03 at best

You could get lucky and find one of the 40 copper 1943 pennies. Estimated price for one is around $400,000.00

If they have the ANA logo (American Numismatic Association). But be prepared for disappointment over your coins.
