I've been sort of considering emo to be wanabe-goth-lite. But your definition works, too.
And yes, I'm glad I went through school long before all this emo crap came about.

No, look up emo. It means the dressing in black often using sideswept bangs dyed black, wearing t-shirts often with the names of rock bands on them. Most people believe emo is either gay or people who cut theirself and drink their blood. But look it up.
