When I was baptized and received the Divine Spirit to intermingle with my human spirit, I became complete.
We were created as vessels. We have the body, soul and spirit. All 3 have to be fed and nourished. When all 3 are satisfied, we will constantly feel complete and never lack anything.
"For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you, to give you hope and a future."-- Jeremiah 29:11
We have always been meant to be "more than" complete. We are meant for abundance in all aspects of our lives. And therefore, being happy is part of our nature.
Food, drink and clothing satisfy our body; Books, experience and music satisfy our soul; Divine Spirit satisfies our spirit. Once these are accomplished, any human shall be complete.

I complete myself.
just my thoughts: if someone can "complete you" they can also leave you empty.
life is like music where "you" are the melody and everything else is harmony; although music is nice with melody and harmony, it's still a nice song with just the melody.
not that i'm advocating hermatism (but not that there's anything wrong with that..)

None of us are ever complete. A higher being is the only entity that can make us feel whole.
