Your Reserve tank needs to be large enough to house your fish on a temp basis. Where did the turtle thing come in? 2 inches can be a small tank.

Even though you have larger fish, they do not need a regular housing aquarium for a temp basis. A smaller tank will do for a short period of time.

I wouldn't add them to a tank with fish. Not only do the turtles need a place where they can get completely out of the water to bask (and the basking light should be warm enough that it will affect the water temperature), but the turtles' wastes will pollute your tank, and they will most likely to try and bite the fish in an attempt to eat them (especially at night when the fish are less active).

You don't mention the gender of your turtles, but a female can get up to 16" shell length, so the tank should be wide enough to allow them tor turn around when the swim. A 60 would be the minimum size I'd put them in.

with purple eared sliders, they are able to be aggressive, so putting them jointly could be stable or could be undesirable. in case you place them jointly merely be attentive to that they won't get alongside till now each and every thing. then who knows 10 years from now they could be ultimate acquaintances.
