To the company...that would depend on the company, most I'd say profit but there are several that are smart enough to know that not keeping the customers satisfied means no profit.

If the customer is satisfied firstly he/she will return again and also tell others about the experience. After that, the profit will take care of itself.

The higher ups count their money and I hate to say it, but some of them do snicker. Those on the ground floor are MOSTLY interested in the customer's satisfaction.

Where I used to work it was PROFIT PROFIT PROFIT and B,.S. the customer into taking the shoddy work.
