If the troops leave iraq the terrorists will come after us where we live. Does anyone feel the same way?

Not at all. I think they are MORE likely to attack us here, or anywhere, if we are meddling in Iraq. This war has been the biggest recruitment tool the terrorists could have ever hoped for.

Don't be scared.
The problem with leaving Iraq has never had anything to do with terrorists coming to get us. afterall, they can still come an get us, since the biggest baddest ones aren't even in Iraq fighting.
the problem with leaving Iraq, is the same as the problem with allowing Saddam to remain in power:
If we would have left Saddam in power, eventually Iran would have come in, cut his head off and took over his country. This would lead to a threat to British and American oil in the area, and threaten oil supply.

The only thing 'catostrophic' about our troops leaving Iraq is that the number of US-troops dying in Iraq will drop...catostrophically!

If they want to come after us, right now would be the best time. Why? Well, most of our military is fighting over seas.
Besides, if they would like to get us, they will. They (the "terrorists") aren't exactly known for their rational thought.
To answer your question - no. I don't feel the way you do. I think the only thing we are preventing by remaining in Iraq is a secular civil war. We aren't stopping terrorism.

Iraq became a catastrophe after we arrived. The terrorists in Iraq came after we arrived. Terrorists in other countries and from other countries are still training to attack us.
I think the terrorists are pleased that we sent thousands of Americans over there so they could kill 3500+ of them. We not only make it easy for them to kill Americans, we give them more material for their propaganda efforts every day.
I say bring our troops home.

Another good question would be "what happens to the Iraq civillians?" And since people love to make comparisons to Vietnam War......over a million people were killed in Southeast asia as a result of our withdrawel there.....
