when you refill the crank case with oil it also lubricates all gears and clutch. look on the dip stick for the right oil to use its sometimes stamped right on the dipstick so yes your right it shares with the oil

The oil is shared and you dont need to remove the clutch to change the plates, just take the pressure plate with the springs in it off and then replace the metal and new fibre plates in the same order the old ones came out.

First off, have you ever changed a clutch on a gold wing?
It's not a simple job. And definitely not a job for the inexperienced.
You also need a special tool to get the clutch out.
The clutch is on the very rear of the engine.
It's extremely difficult just to get the clutch cover off.
Re-think about what you're getting yourself into.
You won't be able to ride it to a shop once you mess it up.
Purchase a shop manual before they go out of print and to see what I'm talking about.

It's all the same oil...and unless someone installed an after-market dipstick kit, it doesn't have one. There's a sightglass on the side of the engine. If you use Hondalube GN-4, you can't go wrong...K ;o)

Spend the money on the manual. It will help keep your
Wing out of the dealer's claws.
