that all depends on the person and the type of relationship the "liar" and I have. If this was a one time offence and the lie wasn't really terrible then yes, I would probably give him/her a second chance. If this person is a pathalogical liar, then no I would not as I would always be wondering if they are lying to me again.....

At first you must learn to identify intelligent and stupid liars. Those who lie have better I.Q than those who tell the truth. Truth has only one answer, but an inteligent liar has to invent newer ideas for the same truth to as many people enquiring him. In fact the liar checks your intelligence as to whether you can catch him with proof or not.
So my answer is YES , give him a second chance

It really depends on what the person lied about, but I think everyone deserves a second chance. Do what your heart's telling you to do. A liar usually doesnt change but you take that chance and see what happens

Depends on whether or not the person is a compulsive liar. The type of person who'd lie just for the sake of lying...NO...don't give them a second chance. If you do, you may be in for heartache...or just know the situation you're in with that person.

It says that we should forgive others as God has forgiven us of our sins. We are only human. We all lie, we're not perfect either. It's sad but it's a natural thing for someone to do in order to get away, or out of a tough situation. We say such things in order to not be seen as someone who has failed, screwed up or been caught. Not many people like admitting fault to things. So we result in a easy way out that could only cause more damage. But we also learn from our mistakes. So I say yes you should give that person a second chance but becareful in what they say next.

Forgive but don't forget.
I'd give them a second chance, just don't completely trust them.
