Yes, it's very normal for that type of reaction to shots... Just give her tylenol and it will be ok.. Maybe a cool bath between dosages... To make her more comfortable....Good luck and don't panic. The doc. should've told you that or given you some info on her shots and reactions...

Yes its normal. I have 2 kids 10 and 6 and once in a while when they had shots they had a fever. My kids Dad recently took my daughter in to get her overdue shots for her age and she got a fever. She was also sick in Feb with the flu from school (nothing to do with shots) she had a 101.9 fever. I gave her Tylenol for kids and it worked. That Tylenol is a blessing. So yes it is normal. Good luck.

Fever is a normal reaction after being vaccinated. Give Tylenol for fever every 4 hours.

It's very normal to run a low grade fever right after having shots. The babies pediatrician should have told you about it though, and I would discuss this with your pediatrician at babies next visit. They need to tell you what to expect when shots or any kind of treatment is given. 100.4 is considered a low grade fever, but if it gets over 102.5, get to the ER, or if she develops a rash. Good luck and congrats on new baby!

Yes, that is normal for a reaction to shots. All 3 of my kids got fevers after their shots. If her fever gets to high I would call the doctor, or if it continues past a day and a half since she's so little. Don't worry.

absolutely normal. if the tylenol is bringing it down, its ok. the fever may come and go over a period of a few days, and may be accompanied by vomiting, diarrea, crankiness, sleppiness or sleeplessness, loss of appetite. if any serious signs of allergy occur: hives, trouble breathing, VERY high fevers like over 103 or so, call the doctor or go to the ER immediately.
other than that, it is very common and an unfortunate side effect of immunizations. tylenol is perfectly safe to give as long as you follow the recommended dosage amount and maximum amount per day.
NOTE: I WOULD LIKE TO CLEAR SOMETHING UP ABOUT THE MEDICATIONS AS SUGGESTED BY A PREVIOUS ANSWERER: TYLENOL CAN BE GIVEN AT 4 HOUR INTERVALS; IBUPROFEN (MOTRIN) SHOULD BE GIVEN AT 6-8 HOUR INTERVALS....NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. ALSO, MANY DOCTORS DO NOT LIKE CHILDREN UNDER 6 MONTHS TO TAKE IBUPROFEN. FOR NOW PLAY IT SAFE AND USE TYLENOL UNTIL YOU CAN ASK YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT THE MOTRIN.
good luck

Yes, definitely normal. I have 3 girls. My first 2 didn't get fevers from their shots, but my youngest does every time. The doc said completely normal, but that if her fever is above 102-103 call the doc at that age. Anything below that no worries.

Yes, it's very common. That used to always happen to my daughter, so my mother-in-law recommended that I give her tylenol an hour before her doctor's visit, and she wouldn't get a fever after her shots.
