I'm all up for some good reccomendations- so far I'm liking the music from overseas more than here in the US. ( HiM, Bullet for my Valentine, The Sounds, TurboNegro, The 69 Eyes...)

The past few cd's from artists that I love have disappointed me. Especially the new NIN cd.... Anybody else feel kinda let down on that one too? I'm hoping Trent isn't losing his touch...
And now Perfect Circle is no longer a band.. That pisses me off. But I'm looking forward to Pucifier.
Though the new Manson was pretty good....

What do you guys think?

Some recommendations:

Mew (alt/prog rock from Denmark)
Sigur Ros (indie rock from somewhere in Scandanavia)
Good Canadian bands: The Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, A Silver Mt. Zion, Explosions in the Sky, and many more (Canada is the place to look, IMO)
Porcupine Tree (prog rock from England)

Good domestic bands you may have missed: Mercury Rev, The Flaming Lips (if you don't like their newer "sappy" stuff, look into all their CDs before 1998), Brazil, The Jayhawks, and others

Try Iced Earth, they are from the states but are huge in europe. Also Blind Guardian. If you like these two then listen to a band called Demons and Wizards, which is a mix of both of these bands...a little side project they do together. Great stuff.

I was gonna recommend some of the bands you already put up there, but I also like Lacuna Coil (from Italy) and The Rasmus (from Finland).
