what will my estimate next electric bill for leaving my 24 Dell P4 1.8GHz on 24/7 in my house?

I can not estimate how much electric bill will be if you are going leave your computer on 24/7. but i would suggest to create Energy Star Program within the current computer. This way you are helping the environment and helping your computer system. To save money I would suggest the lower time for everything (automatic) screen saver, hard drive turn off, monitor turn off, system turn off. Also if you were leaving the home or business for weekend i would recommend shut down whole system.

running your pc 24/7 will not run the bill up that much may be a couple of bucks a week

well first off
get rid of dell
2nd
get rid of intel

third,
how many watts is your powersupply
the watts tells you how much it uses per hour running at full speed
so its a 500w powersupply
every 2hours 1khw is used (khw= kilowatt)
around here 1khw is $.14
daily it would cost me $1.68
so running it for a week straight is $11.76
monthly $50.40
yearly= $604.8

to figure it out per day
x= 1000/watts
then y= 24/x
z=y*(price per KHW)

then multiply z by 7 for weeks
or z by 30 for days
.....



now thats just if the powersupply was running at full power
most comps run at a lot less
im running mine at <200 watts

Need more info really, especially about its kw/ph consumption.

can't exactly predict your next bill without knowing EXACTLY what it is already, but it probably won't run your bill up. Maybe a few extra bucks a month, nothing drastic.

You would need more info than posted.
You need to know the power consumption of the PC during the hours in use and not in use. and the current rates of electricity and the forcasted amount it may increase during the period that it would be on.
