What's popular isn't always right, and what's right isn't always popular. But, the crowd isn't always wrong. I will allow myself to be with the crowd, but not be identified by the crowd. If the crowd goes the wrong way, I am not going to follow. But, if the crowd is doing something right, then I may do it also, as long as I am not becoming identified as the crowd. We are all created differently and theres nothing wrong with being that way.
Romans 12:2
Do not conform any longer to the ways of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.
who did Christ hang out with? the crowd. but, he was unique himself. we(christians) are to be like this, leaving an impact on the crowd while being strong enough to not conform to them.

I'd rather go my own way, the crowd isn't always the best place to be.

I am not a crowd follower...I go to the beat of my own drum. If something pleases me I follow it.....if it doesn't please me I don't. We are all unique... I will not play PROM PROM...does that tell you something about me?

I like to be myself. Although, it gets hard and the pressure is always there to conform. I must continue to be myself.
